Welcome to The Maidstone Art Centre.

Community, at the heart of what we do

Not for profit, it is our aim to bring Art classes and workshops to our community at a low cost.

The welcome will always be warm

Our Art Centre is a hidden gem. You can find us at Marlpit Farm in Boughton Monchelsea and we have just one aim. To provide a warm, safe, welcoming space for the people of Maidstone to get involved with art, meet new people, learn new skills and have fun. We are a not for profit organisation and aim to make art accessible to everyone. We are well supported by the community and benefit from their very kind donations of art materials and unwanted craft supplies, which we put to good use.

With daily adult art classes which include watercolour, acrylic, still life, drawing and even Life drawing and we have daily after school kids art, Saturday kids art and a whole array of workshops.

The centre is open plan and has a comfy seating area, a small coffee bar providing drinks and snacks, a gallery showcasing local artists work which you can view and purchase.

We are able to host wonderful children’s art parties so if your youngster has a passion for creativity, our children’s party are perfect for their special day.

All classes must be booked and to do this, just send us a message to let us know you want to attend and we will reserve your space, or use the online booking page . You may Pay on arrival by cash or card, sit back, and get creative!

Our centre is a friendly fun place to visit and gives our adults a place to meet and enjoy art and for our children to discover the world of art and the joy of creating.

Art is so important to our well being, art can bring people together and aside from the pleasure of creating something you never thought possible, the social element of a class can bring you new friends, a sense of wellbeing and an enrichment to your life.

Art and creativity are so beneficial to your mental health and wellbeing, as highlighted in this article
